Myriad:Prosthetics-Snap

The following describes the impression components and procedures for the Myriad-Snap™ and Myriad-Provi-snap™ as the prosthetic platforms and components for both the implants are common and cross – compatible.

IMPRESSIONING - Myriad-Snap™

Impression procedures are recommended using the plastic snap on transfer cap that snugly fits over the ball head and onto the prosthetic platform.

Standard impression procedures ensure that the transfer cap is locked into the impression on removal and the laboratory analog is simply repositioned into the transfer cap within the impression to produce a working model.

The plastic impression transfer cap is snugly press fitted onto the implant.

On removal of the impression tray the transfer cap is lodged in the impression.

The snap laboratory analog is repositioned into the transfer cap assuring an accurate impression transfer of the implant to a working model.

Soft tissue make material is expressed and applied to cover the implant abutment interface. After that die stone is poured to produce the final working model.

LAB PROCEDURES - Myriad-Snap™

The following describes the laboratory procedures for a Myriad-Snap™ or Myriad-Provi-snap™ overdenture prostheses.

Modification and laboratory procedures for standard titanium straight and angled abutments are common

Standard abutments can be held in a laboratory analog or special abutment holder for modification with rotary instruments.

Using a conventional wax-up and casting technique a precious metal base coping is prepared.
